These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of SmartAkant. By registering for or using SmartAkant, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" means the SmartAkant website, applications and software services.
- "Company" means a business or organisation registered on SmartAkant.
- "User" means a person authorised to access a Company's workspace.
- "Subscription" means a paid service plan provided by SmartAkant.
- "Free Trial" means the initial thirty (30) day access period provided to new customers.
2. Eligibility
To use SmartAkant you must be at least 18 years old, have the legal authority to represent your business, and provide accurate registration information.
3. Account registration
To register, you may be asked for your company name, business address, email address, phone number and other necessary details. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
4. Thirty (30) day free trial
New companies receive a free 30-day trial. During the trial you can access the platform's features without payment. SmartAkant reserves the right to limit certain premium features during the trial period.
5. Subscription and renewal
After the free trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are offered on a bi-annual (six-month) or annual basis. Subscription fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Suspension for non-renewal
If a subscription or free trial expires without renewal, the account will be suspended. While suspended, access to the workspace is restricted and users cannot sign in.
7. Account deletion after sixty (60) days
Deletion includes all associated data, such as accounting records, sales, inventory, payroll, customer information and reports. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
8. User responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, comply with applicable laws, ensure only authorised people access your workspace, and maintain your own backups of important data.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account
- Upload malicious software
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform
- Reverse engineer any part of the platform
10. Data ownership
You retain ownership of all business data entered into the platform.
11. Intellectual property
All software, source code, trademarks, logos, graphics and content on SmartAkant remain the exclusive property of SmartAkant and its licensors.
12. Service availability
We work hard to keep SmartAkant available and reliable. However, SmartAkant does not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation or uninterrupted service.
13. Data security
We use security measures including encryption, password hashing, secure authentication, role-based access controls and activity monitoring. However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartAkant is not liable for any loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify SmartAkant against any claims arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law.
16. Termination
SmartAkant may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, misuse of the platform, or non-renewal of a subscription.
17. Changes to the service
SmartAkant reserves the right to modify features, pricing and service availability.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms become effective when posted on this website, and continued use of SmartAkant means you accept them.
19. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
